SIDELINES has prevailed a pitch of energy provider EWE and is taking over the strategic consulting, positioning and the implementation of all sponsoring activations. The long-term partnership is about the reorientation of current and new projects within sports, culture, lifestyle and education. “SIDELINES is going to support us on strategic and operative issues concerning sponsorship as consulting and executive agency. The first couple of months will be about concretizing the communicative guiding principle for sponsoring at EWE and taking the activation of existing and new partnerships to the next level”, explains Nils Brönstrup, Head of Sponsoring and Events at EWE. As the fifth largest supplier of energy in Germany and an important telecommunications provider, EWE is sponsor of more than 280 projects in sports, culture and education. The diversity of supported projects ranges from local events to some of the absolute regional highlights – including football club Werder Bremen, basketball team EWE Baskets Oldenburg or the Hurricane music festival.
There’s a lot going on at the Frauscher shipyard! Half a year after the outstanding event “History writes Future”, the family-run company from the idyllic Traunsee in Austria had already invited to the next highlight: The launch of the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air. Selected media guests from all over Europe followed the invitation to Cannes and dived for one night into the Lifestyle of Yachting. During an impressive journey along the harbor, the guests were able to finally see the new yacht, which is characterized by the accustomed unique Frauscher design with high functionality and excellent handling. The evening was crowned with a first-class seaside dinner in the neighboring harbor and a personalized short clip, which was sent to the guests during the dinner on their mobile phone.The footage material for the clip was already generated the day and the morning before the event – as well as the picture material for the further communication.
With the two lifestyle bloggers Lindarella and Sequinsophia as models, the crew around video maker David Zuschlag and photographer André Josselin captured a wide variety of driving moments, -perspectives and -emotions.

What athletes have only been able to experience through extensive tests, is now possible with the ambiotex shirt for everyone – without any blood sampling or the help of a sports medic. The wearable was presented and tested at a kick-off event in the PRIME TIME fitness studio at dizzying heights. On the 53rd floor of the MAIN TOWER, selected sportjournalists were able to test the ambiotex shirt. Highly sensitive ECG sensors, with an accuracy of more than 99 percent, determine the heart rate data of the wearer. The data is processed in a TechUnit, which is fixed magnetically to the shirt and illustrated in the corresponding app. Florian Dennerlein, CEO of ambiotex and passionate athlete, explains: „I know from my own experience how important it is to listen to the signals of your body to avoid overtraining or even worse consequences. The ambiotex shirt helps and supports the wearer by making up even the finest dissonances of the body.”

Lothar Matthäus played his first games as a young player for the football club 1. FC Herzogenaurach, where he laid the foundation for a unique career: German champion, European champion, World champion and World Player of the Year. Herzogenaurach’s most famous son would like to be more supportive in the future, especially in the promotion of young talented players. As a sign of recognition for his extraordinary career and thanks for his commitment, Lothar Matthäus was appointed not only as an honorary member, but also as honorary player of the club. In addition, the new pitch will be called “Lothar-Matthäus-Sportplatz”. Also the new “Heimkabine” of the 1. FC Herzogenaurach, the completely redesigned club room with pictures, trophies and a life-size wall painting of the “Leitwolf”, is all about the club legend.

The „solidarity concert“ as part of the 36th Deutschen Evangelischen Kirchentag, where refugees premiered together with the Berliner Symphonians the UNISONO-Sinfony, was a full success and attracted thousands of people to the Gendarmenmarkt. Many music-lovers came to the popular place and followed the concert in front of the dreamlike setting. In the second part, the visitors were demanded: together with a choir consisting of fled and native musicians the audience sang the popular part of “Alle Menschen werden Brüder” from Beethoven’s 9th Sinfony. Nicolas Ruegeberg, the initiator and componist of UNISONO, was very excited about the great recognition. He still wants to support the UNO Flüchtlingshilfe with his project “UNISONO”.

For this year’s RTL-Spendenmarathon, ‘RTL – Wir helfen Kindern’ and KETTLER came up with something special – the 24H-KETTCAR-CHALLENGE. Endurance sportsman Joey Kelly will face this great challenge and drives 24 hours with his own KETTCAR and against 24 company teams for a good cause. So that the extreme sportsman is well prepared for this challenge, KETTLER provides him his own KETTCAR. This was given to him during his visit in Ense, where he also made his first rounds under applause from the KETTLER staff. KETTLER designed specifically for this event special KETTCARS for adults and enables this unique challenge. Even KETTLER is going to the start with a company team to support this relief campaign.
For DHB-Teammanager Oliver Roggisch it was a “giant event” – and we also felt that way! Within the scope of the #nähergehtnicht campaign, we were very close on the day of the handball together with the AOK in Hamburg. In addition to the national matches of the DHB teams, there was a varied program for young and old with many great participatory activities, e.g. the AOK Star Training. There, the kids were able to demonstrate their throwing and dribbling skills at various modules and got a little insight into the training of the handball pros. Highlights of the day were clearly the two international matches of the #Ladies and #BadBoys against Sweden. The day of the handball was a great family festival in the spirit of this popular team sports.

Besides real boat classics like an original O-Jolle from 1934 or a design eye catcher like the 1414 Demon, Michael and Stefan Frauscher – both CEO´s of the family owned company in third generation – gave a deep dive into the transformation of Frauscher and a glance to their youngest innovation: The Frauscher 858 Fantom Air, which will be launched in Summer 2017. Are you kidding? Did former football profi Gerald Asamoah stopped his coach career to teach the guys of the Harlem Globetrotters a few new moves? No, all clear! Asamoah remains faithful to soccer, obviously he has also been enjoying the basketball game. But this was due to the two boys of the Harlem Globetrotters and their magic moves in the course of the “kinder + Sport Basketball Academy”. The latter invited basketball-inspired kids to a small special test day in Gelsenkirchen, where the basketball newbies could test their basketball skillz. The test day was spoiled by the two Globetrotters Cheese Chisholm and El Gato Melendez, who came from the USA. And the long way has paid off! The kids, the parents, the organizers and the journalists of regional and interregional media have had a lot of fun! After the event Asamoah went back to the grass. Cheese and El Gato went on to Leipzig and Stuttgart, where they met many, many more junior basketball players during two more test days of the “kinder + Sport Basketball Academy”!
42,195 kilometers, 40,000 runners and more than a million spectators at the circuit: the Berlin marathon is not only one of the fastest marathons in Germany but also the most impressive. The perfect surrounding for a marathon debut or a new PB according to “Unlimited You”, don’t you think? Maren and Flo – two famous fitness bloggers – committed themselves to be unlimited and are found themselves on an ambitious marathon journey with NIKE. From the individually adapted marathon training schedule with NRC coach Jan Fitschen, personal pacemaker to the perfect shoe for sprints, long runs and regeneration runs up to the shakeout run with the NRC Berlin as the final motivation: Maren and Flo were able to focus on the race day itself and completely concentrate on their run. The outcome? Two super strong finishes! Maren’s timing stopped at 3:41:44h – an incredible finish for her first (!) marathon. And what about Flo? Flo was in really good shape as well. He was able to remove his goal “sub 3:30:00h” from his to do list. Congratz, Flo and Maren! We´re proud of you and looking forward to upcoming challenges…
Running and doing some good at the same time? Of course, it works! At least at the Mainova Frankfurt marathon – and this for 10 years! For the tenth time the red and black Caritas donation gate took its place at the Hauptwache awaiting to be runned through by thousands of marathon runners. The donations are benefitting the Caritas initiative “Gemeinsam mehr bewegen” which gives children more access to health-promoting measures. More than 250,000 Euro have been collected in the recent years.
Malle is only once a year? Okay! So we better stick to the things that are two times a year like the Women´s Health Camp. For the second time in 2016 the camp attracted almost 140 ladies addicted to sports. Women from all around Germany – including fitness blogger RoxisEcke – went to southern Spain to spend a sporty and healthy week under palmtrees. The participants of the camps autumn edition expected a wide range of courses from which they could choose up to five units per day. How about a run in the morning followed by a bootcamp, a barbell technique course, Pilates, TRX or an excursion with the road bike? Because of a team of 13 coaches there is barely anything which does not exist. Maybe that’s the reason why the camp in May 2017 is already booked up again…
